A protest is being planned before Hamilton City Council’s Long-Term Plan is finalised in early July.
Gather in Garden Place outside the Hamilton City Council building from 11am to 12:30pm on Thursday the 27th of June 2024.
If you oppose rates increases and the massive debt, encourage others to join the protest.
The protest is also about the traffic calming measures which are slowing traffic, increasing travel times across the city and making it difficult for emergency services to get to emergencies in a timely fashion. Installing traffic calming measures is also one of the ways Council is increasing the amount of debt.
Various local groups will bring their signs and banners and they should have some extras.
